I came in to flinder as a Finance Manager as I was keen to progress to a managerial role.
In my previous position, there was no clear route ahead for me. However, I found at flinder just how they develop their people and the road ahead was clearly mapped out for progression.
It gave me the confidence I was after. Even more so when flinder recently introduced a senior leadership training programme, which is a very detailed and tailored programme specifically aimed to help you be the best manager you can be. It's clear that flinder is focused on helping you succeed.
The greatest change for me joining flinder has been having a pod/team of eight that report into me. Having the responsibility and the trust in me to manage has been a great, exciting challenge. Our manager group is supportive as well, lending insight and guidance to each other in the day to day. The CFOs have been a big source of knowledge and reference too.
We work with some really diverse and interesting clients, which offers a real chance to expand our scope both as individuals along with flinder as a whole.
Both the founders give me a lot inspiration and support, both in different ways.
Their drive and vision makes you want to work hard for flinder and it's exciting to see where the road ahead is taking us.
